Another amber colored beer from this brewery at the Sierra Nevada Single, Fresh, Wet & Wild festival in Chico, CA. But this one was a lighter amber than the other, so maybe we'll be better off this time. Has a slight head to it, 1/4" in size, mostly white.
The aroma is like some saison yeast like hop, its got plenty of wet grass and hay notes to it. Its weird, for being all Kentucky grown hops (seems humid) they don't bother to tell you what any of them are, and they don't take on enough impact to really discern what they are.
Taste, I dunno man, its mostly citric like bitterness. The ol' rind kind. Still seemed maltier than desired, even though less than the other wet hop beer they brought to the festival. Again, there are no off flavors, but what is there isn't particularly inspiring or memorable beyond the outdoor like notes of earthy grass, hay, and citric rind alongside a milder caramel backdrop.

I had this as part of a flight at Boombozz pizza back in late October. It was very tasty and I have fairly high standards for IPAs. The hop won me over.

This started off nicely with a hoppy lemon flavor but suddenly descended into a herbaceous basil, cilantro, chive and leafy flavor. Lemon rind and a hoppy resin appear near the end before it ends with an earthy dirt taste.

As the fall season draws close, so do the taste of the season. And no other industry celebrates this time of year like the brewing industry. Its dry hop flavor is captured with the collaboration of Country Boy brewers and Revolution hop growers.
Its bright, beautiful and botanical charm starts with a hazy lemon hued pour. Short-statured in froth, its creme coats skirts the glass and reveals the strong aromas of white grapefruit, under-ripened orange, lemon and juniper. With the slim honey and caramel sweetness as a backdrop, the early impressions are all about the fresh hops.
And more of the same transpires as its tangy citrus and orchard fruit variety embraces a more vegetal taste with leafy verbena, sassafras and fresh-cut grass. While sweetness fades, its botanical medley rises and brings the tangy wine, juniper, grape, citrus and berry extends from the early palate and dries considerably before its waning moments.
Its dry finish is lemony, grassy, and pleasantly herbal. As its chlorophyll character leaches into its flavor profile, a slightly dank, juicy and pungent bitterness closes the session with medium bitterness and a high rate of refreshment.
