Welcome to the Bluegrass state with a big ole' yee haw and a hell yea to Upland Brewing Company. As the tandem of these Indiana brewers with the Country Boy clan join forces a gentle giant awakens. A beer of utmost sourness and a delicate strawberry fruitiness, and rich but bright session awaits.
Funk Land Country Shuffle kicks off with a dark ruby hue, one that presses against mahogany and bark brown, but one that also casts a pillow of ecru froth resting gently above. Its aromas rife with stone fruit, cider, red wine and vinegar scouts a flavor that leads with hard candy, toast, cocoa and pecan.
Across the middle palate, the ale blooms with cherry, berry, cider, red grape and currant. With those dark, dried and robust fruits building a lather of flavor, the sweetness retreats and the taste tightens. With a sour trek looming, the dark fruit and sour taste becomes toasty and bordeaux-like With a slight bitterness and tannic taste of fruit skins and stemmy woods at its precipice, the beer's savory taste pulls from the sourness.
Medium bodied for a sour ale, the beer's striking acidity yields a bright and refreshing taste despite its lingering dark fruit and its toasted grains. Light coffee and dark fruit roll into a bright and robust finish that's uncanny for any beer of such drinkable satisfaction.

Bourbon and leather forward. Strawberry is mild. Mild sour.
