Pours a hazy golden orange with a generous white head. A typical citrus forward NEIPA with some malty sweetness. Bold hop flavors, with hints of stone and melon.
A desirable brew.

It’s a NEIPA. Unless this specific brew is giving something back to the folks/parks at red river gorge I really can’t see this being worth a special release. Some definite unique hop notes fighting against the standard in the region but I can’t say it’s something you can’t find anywhere else.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a solid, citrus forward NEIPA with some malty sweetness that hangs around a bit after you finish your drink. But it’s nothing to jump out of your seat for. Review is from a can, might be better fresh on draft.

Exploding with hop flavors, Country Boy hits the beer scene with basically a kaleidoscope of citrus, tropical, stone fruit, melon and herbal character. This imperial hazy IPA seems to have it all.
Hazy but reasonably so, Kaleidoscope gets going with a creamy golden-orange pour and a soft white leather to cap the glass. A radiant citronella perfume hinges on tropical fruit, citrus oils and a curiously botanical scent whereas the taste starts malty-sweet and off-cereal like with suggestions of agave, honey and faint caramel backed with hints of pie crust.
But the beer quickly turns to hop flavors as the malt flavors start to recede. Tangerine, red grapefruit and lime frame the more citrusy flavors while the tropical influence from hops deliver pineapple, mango, passionfruit and papaya character in a plump and rounded middle palate. But a fade to bitterness gives the late palate a sharper, crisper and more refreshing herbal bite of fresh spruce, grass clippings, hemp, verbena, tea and peppery gin spices.
Medium-full in body, the hazy IPA caries higher sense of drinkability than typical for imperial iPA's of the New England-styled variety. It finishes malty-dry and with a bitter extension of fruit peels, herb and hemp.
