A: Pours a hazy orange-tinged amber with a creamy, lingering off-white head.

S: Aromas of lemon, herbs, caramel, grapefruit, bitter orange, papaya, and mango gently express themselves on the nose.

T: Notes of herbs, lime, lemon, grapefruit, kumquat, and bitter orange immediately assault the palate, but soon fade to reveal notes of green apple, pear, mango, and papaya. The malt really kicks in around mid-palate, with notes of caramel and biscuits emerging to balance the hop bitterness. The finish is long, dry, and bitter with notes of apple, bitter orange, lemon, and herbs underscored by caramel.

M: On the heavier side of medium in body, dry, and filling. Carbonation is crisp. Alcohol presence is restrained. Compared to the regular Fulcan-A, this ale is a bit heavier and livelier in the mouth.

O: This is a tremendous all around improvement upon Fulcan-A IPA, which was not a bad beer to begin with. The nose really lets you know what you're in for, and the layering of flavors here is quite impressive. I would have no difficulty recommending this ale to any self-proclaimed hophead.

On tap at the brewery, served in a pint glass by DH and accompained by a little chicken, thanks to Evan.

Now on to this awesome beer, the appearance is a hazy amber that poured with a frothy one finger head. Lacing is minimal but evident and leads to the ring of thin bubbles left from that frothy head. The aromas aren't overpowering, the dankness comes through in a way only Chinook can. Now on to the taste, ill describe the malt first cause its easier, the clean crisp docility of the 2 row allow for the insane resin of the Chinook, too burn through your palate. This I dont take as a bad thing in an ipa especially one with Chinook in the name. This is all floral and weed like dankyness mixed with clean straight forward bitter. The after taste of a bag of hops is all you remember from your taste buds. The mouthfeel is good and full of life, the carbonation plays good on the tongue. The resinous leftovers add some burn to your throat. Overall I didn't think I could like anything more than the citra fulcan a but this is insanely good and very drinkable. Thanks guys.
