A: Pours a dark, murky brown with a thick, creamy khaki head.
S: Aromas of roasted grain, coffee, and chocolate fill the nose. Slight herbal, lemony hop scents are apparent as well.
T: Notes of heavy cream, dark bread, roasted grain, vanilla bean, dark chocolate, caramel, coffee, lemon, lime, black pepper, and tobacco wash across the palate. The finish is smooth, rich, and creamy with plenty of roasted grain and dark chocolate notes.
M: Very light in body, smooth, and milky. Carbonation is unobtrusive.
O: This is an interesting twist on the brewery's regular Ni-ban. Though it is basically the same beer, only nitrogenated, there is a number of subtle differences in flavor that accompany the huge difference in texture. This is much smoother and deeper than the regular version of Ni-ban. A slight improvement overall.
