Murky yellow with absolutely no head or lacing there was a touch of fluorescence that gave the appearance that the beer was not entirely dead.
The scent is a bit sour with hints of floral hops. A stale bit of malt with same cereal like aroma, there was very little else.
The taste follows the nose with stale, sour malt with a little bread and floral hops. The feel is very light and easy to drink but dismisses the wateriness that usually accompanies a beer that is this easy. Overall this is very average.

The incredible flavors and complex textures of Thai are rejuvenated in ale form by the Country Boys for a very un-Country Boy take on Pale Ale.
Solid gold in appearance, the ale casts a mild shaddow of haze that diffuses sight just slightly. As the short lived head folds back into the glass, it leaves behind a mostly sill looking elixir. With no real lace, the beer looks a lot like mead before long.
Strong tea-like herbs of mint, ginger, lemon zest and soft chai aromas swirl about a honey scented base that promises a sweet and spicy tone. Earthy late with a bouquet of herbs- the ale seems nearly like Italian cuisine with all the oregano, basil, and rosemary notes that spring from the glass with each whiff.
And its sweet and spicy interplay continues in taste. First its the honey dipped fruit flavors of oranges, peaches and passion fruit- seems somewhat marmalade-like. The zing of white pepper, woody sassafras, stemmy tones and all those exotic herbs offer just enough balance to the beer to offset the sweetness but never rivals its taste.
Medium bodied early, but the beer's low carbonation allows and extended and lingering sweetness to keep the beer fuller later. Its slow development towards semi-dry finish is accompanied with a spicy, nearly capsacin-like warmth.
Reminiscent of the more exotic Dogfish Head ales of Midas Touch and Chateau Jaihu, this lighter bodied ale offers higher drinkability and less effort on the palate and stomach. It's a complex and varying ale but I'm still searching for the Pale Ale part of it.
