Undated can. Served at 56.8 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature is 61.7 degrees F.
Appearance – 4.25.
First pour – Amber Brown (SRM 18), clear.
Body – Ruby Brown (SRM 24), opaque. Under direct light, same. When rear-lit, glows ruby.
Head – Average (Maximum 2.8 cm, aggressive center pour). Caramel, high density, short duration; the head drops to a rocky 0.15 cm crown, and a thin, partial cap.
Lacing – None.
Aroma – 3.5 – Moderate coffee with light roasted malt and possibly some chocolate. No hops, no alcohol.
Flavor – 3.75 – Slightly bitter with lightly roasted malt and just a touch of chocolate and oily coffee. A faint bit of char at the end. No hops, no alcohol (8.0 % according to the label). No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Slight gastric warming.
Palate – 4 – Medium to Full: Slightly dry: Soft carbonation.
Style: Follows the BA style description.
