Polished bronze with lots of floaties and a tower of lumpy eggshell froth that leaves clumpy trailers.
Huge candied pineapple nose with hints of sweet citrus and light tropical fruit.
Biscuit malts barely get a chance before grapefruit, passionfruit, gooseberry and lime hops cut in.
Tangerine finish and lemon balm linger.
Light, crisp, oily, slight burn.
As good a showcase of NZ hops as any beer from the UK. Nelson does its thing, but plenty of citrus and juice come from the Galaxy + Riwaka. Minimal malts make this very clean.
I'm liking Salopian.

Hand-pulled at the 22nd Festival At The Edge on weekend of 20-21 July 2013; I had plenty because I was working the bar!
Very hoppy brew, even for a Salopian Brewery's beer (and no hints of lemon/sour citrus notes).
Golden, clean and bright: on top a fairly thin, but full white covering.
Bitter, pine hop nose and taste: the Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka and Galaxy hops blending well together to produce a crisp, tangy hop flavoured beer. I really took to it, as did many of the festival goers.
Good body depth, with the hops hiding the 6.9% ABV very well indeed. My usual sweet toothed preference for maltier brews was impressed with this drier, hoppier beer.
