Doopie brought this one back from AZ this summer. Good times!
From a can into a snifter
Brewed for Ground Zero’s 10th Anniversary
Hops: Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo and Enigma
APPEARANCE: Pours a two finger, medium looking, foamy, off-white head with good retention. Cloudy, opaque safety orange in color with no real carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a full, foamy cap leaving some chunky lacing on the glass. A wisp remains leaving decent lacing on the glass as it empties. A bit of a foamy head on this one.
SMELL: Juicy stuff, with pale malts and caramel notes as well. Lots of mango, passion fruit, orange and pineapple on the nose for sure. Enticing nose.
TASTE: Caramel notes with lots of juicy fruits. Orange, mango, with passion fruit all over the place. A bit of booze as well, but very restrained. A bold finish full of juicy goodness, mango, orange, passion fruit, citrus, with some easy bitterness lingering on the palate. Really flavorful.
PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Pulpy and juicy, creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a bit dry. No heat. Smooth finish.
OVERALL: This is delicious. Super juicy, hoppy stuff with no detectible alcohol. This is insanely drinkable and multiple cans would crushable on a sunny afternoon. Excellent stuff and well worth checking out if you get the chance. This was certainly the best of the three Ground Zero collaborations. Thanks again for the beer, doops! Highly recommended.
