Watermelon Wit packs all the vibrant flavor of deep red watermelons into a perfectly balanced witbier. With pink peppercorn brightening up the nish, the watermelon practically blooms.

I had it on tap at the brewery, it was one of the weakest offerings I had when I was there, not something I would have again.
The one thing that really stuck out to me about this beer was that it smelled like a musty fart, flavor wise it definitely had all kinds of watermelon going on, but on the nose it seriously smelled like a fart. Full witbier character was there had an interesting pinkish hue, nice sweet watermelon tang, but I just couldn't get over the fart aroma this thing puts out. The cucumber wit does not have this fart essence that the watermelon one does.

Delicious... Pink in color, Cucumber and Watermelon fruity zest on the palate. Carbonation was a little lower, but given that I had chosen this over a mimosa it was perfect. It had a refreshing tartness to it... honestly I wouldn't mind drinking this every day during the summer and fall. Had on draught at Banger's in Austin, now trying to locate it elsewhere close by. Highly recommend if you are looking for fun, delicious, and refreshing beer!

Very good beer for the heat in Houston. A little tart, but crisp and refreshing.

Serving: On tap at Torchy's Tacos (Shepherd), poured into a plastic pint cup.
Appearance: Cloudy pink orange with decent foam and lively bubbles.
Smell: Mild, slightly savory, wheat and yeast aroma.
Taste: Sweet, fruity with definite melon notes along with some savory spices and vegetal flavor (cucumber?).
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate, refreshing carbonation.
Overall: A shade too sweet to enjoy much of, but an interesting variation among Buffalo Bayou's many wits with good summer flavors.

First beer I have had that contained watermelon and one of many wit varieties the Buffalo Bayou puts out throughout the year. Appearance is darker than a typical wit (not a hazy golden) with a red/amber tint from the watermelon. Carbonation is a little low for the style, but not an issue. Head rentention is also bit low, but again not much of an issue. Aroma is sweet with easily identifiable watermelon. Taste is basically wit meets watermelon, with a decent amount of spice from the wit yeast and probably added spices. Watermelon flavor is fairly vibrant, this is not a subtle, tiny hint of fruit flavor fruit beer. Overall this is a bit sweet for me and hurts the drinkability; this is not something I would session, which is typically something I like out of a wit. I enjoy the watermelon flavor enough to drink this again, but I would consider this a "one and done" beer.
