i wanted a little more from this one, which has kind of been my experience with their beer in the past when i have had them. this is supposed to be a pale ale with chardonnay grapes, or at least thats how it was sold to me, but i think the fruit aspect is insanely light in it, fermented out maybe so much that it cant really be appreciated much. its also a little estery, and not in a vinous sort of way, but it a lightly belgian way that takes away from the normal pale ale appreciation, like any hops in the finish are sort of swallowed up by the yeast presence, a cleaner, maybe less robust fermentation profile would help this accomplish its apparent mission a little better in my opinion, but i cant be too critical, as i like the beer pretty well anyway, and its refreshing and good with spicy food. i wanted more grape on this, i get a little fragrant fruit up front, but less of it in the flavor, especially in the finish where i expected it to be most prominent. i like how light and fresh it is, but maybe the fruit is too delicate. this might be cool with a bold red grape rather than the white...
