be warned: this is for mint lovers
look:
Dark sexy body, barley any light passes though, but what light does pass through reveals a beautiful dark reddish amber color hiding in that dark body. The head is thick frothy and very smooth leaving a thick ring around the glass and the head does not dissipate into a thin island chain of bubbles, but rather into a thin full layer of bubbles covering the entire stout.
Smell:
Strong mint and mint chocolate, raisin and cloves, I am a mint lover, but that's all i get from this stout not much else.
taste:
This is a mint forward stout, in fact the most is so strong it drowns out any other flavors quickly: that being said I get the following flavors in this order: mint, chocolate, vanilla, mild bitterness followed by a cool minty aftertaste.
feel:
light to medium bodied stout, plenty of carbonation for a stout, smooth and semi dry in the end.
Overall:
I love mint but I did not have high hopes for this stout, but it was certainly a pleasant surprise, smooth, refreshing, tasty and cool minty all at once, a nice warm bottle would be nice the dead of winter!

I will start off by saying I am not a stout fan, but this tastes exactly like it says it would. I used a frosty crystal mug and did this as a slow sipping drink and it was very refreshing as a dessert beer. Dark in color, rich in smell, tastes just like the name.....but beer form! YEAH!

pours black/brown with a nice thick khaki head. very good retention. good lacing.
nose is dominated by mint, but a bit of roasty chocolate.
taste is a hit of mint up front, followed by chocolate, a touch of vanilla, and finishes again with cool mint. Taste is surprisingly close to a Girl Scout Thin Mint cookie. Delicious

Appearance: Black glass shows a little brown edge with back light. Doesn't hold a head save for a few tiny bubbles at the edge of the glass.
Aroma: Very minty, with a bit of chocolate. Drowns out any "beer" notes.
Taste: Herbal, piney, very minty, almost medicinal, a bit of licorice. The barest of hints of an underlying beer come out late in the finish with a bit of a very dry stout, a "thin" stout.
Mouthfeel: Dry finish, low carbonation, medium body, slick texture.
Overall: I think the intense mint might come from an oil given the lack of head. It's long lasting, like eating an Altoids more than a Thin Mint, but it's surprisingly not bad. It, just doesn't really taste like beer.
