Pours opaque very dark brown with cola edges. The big two inch khaki head quickly fades to a thin film on top and leaves very faint spots of lace.
The smell is of burnt wood and faint chocolate.
The flavor is of smoked dark malt, chocolate and faint dark fruit sweetness.
The texture is medium bodied with medium carbonation.
The smoked flavor and aroma are much more dominant than the chocolate taste and smell. This is sort of a hybrid milk stout/ rauchbier. Still, a decent effort.
