On-tap at I&I
The appearance is a murky dark amber color with an off-white head. As expected, there is lots of ginger on the nose. It’s got an almost candied ginger character to it. Sort of potpourri-like and quite herbal. Some bread but lots of brown sugar aroma making this very sweet. The flavor is intensely spicy with a ton of ginger flavor. There is quite a bit of sweetness to it. Surprisingly, no alcohol is detectable. Still, it’s hard to drink much of this.

1185th Review on BA
Draft to Pint
@I&I
App- A very dark brown, had some good depth of color in the glass with some inky black coming in and a bit of reds/ambers. Small head was there and gone.
Smell- Hello ginger have we met. Man this bombards the nose with pure ginger. Well balanced by the malts on the back with tinges of big hop oil.
Taste- This was a very tasty beer. Never having the Dark & Stormy (Thank you Eric for describing) it was clear what Chuck was going for. Had a great balance with the ginger and the malts creating that Rum like drink. Had a ton of boozy caramel flavor on the back of this as well.
Mouth- A full medium body with a great low-medium carbonation almost bordering on a full creamy body.
Drink- Very tasty and layered. I enjoyed this one alot. Had a ton of flavor behind it and would like this again.
