On-tap at I&I
The beer pours dark brown in color with a nice tan head. Plenty of roast on the nose, but it’s mildly acidic. A nice dark chocolate and cocoa powder aroma, but not really all that much coconut. Maybe some toffee sweetness. As with the aroma, quite a lot of roast and cocoa on the palate. There is a mild toffee and molasses flavor but again, not really any coconut. Good porter, but would have liked some actual coconut.

1310th Review on BA
Draft to Pint
@I&I
App- A big dark brown pour with a khaki-esque 1-1/2 finger head. A lot of big cling on this one with good density in color.
Smell- A lot of upfront Chocolate and malts. Only a tiny bit of the coconut came through on the nose. Had a lot more straight porter qualities.
Taste- A nice rich and creamy beer. Had a lot of malts behind it with a small grainy flavor and a bit of bitter on the finish. Again only a small amount of coconut but it was there.
Mouth- It's a tasty beer. I can say now that I like this version better than the cocoa-coconut variant.
