On-tap at I&I

The pour is nearly black with a tan head. Rather strong on the roasted malt aroma, a bit of coffee. The nose is sort of sour with a bit of red grape and cherry aroma to it. Weird. The sourness is more pronounced on the palate. Heavy roasted malt which adds to the acidity. Mild coffee, a light earthiness, and just a rather meh feeling to the beer.

Draft to Pint

@I&I

App- Almost pure black. Couldve been mistaken for a CDA or a small stout. A nice density behind it. A nice puffy 2 finger head. Good sticky lace and cling.

Smell- A nose that just perfect for this. Brought a little bit of malts and a little roast with some pilsner notes that were a touch grainy.

Taste- This was simply great. Huge creamy notes with a small roast and grain flavor with a touch of bitter from the hop additions. I dont normally like pilsners. This unique creation was superb.

Mouth- Light-medium body with a creamy medium carbonation with some residual light roast and toast.

Drink- I think this is now my #1 favorite I&I beer. Just great.
