Cask at 5.5%ABV. Sparkler used. Very dark chestnut with a medium thick, creamy, light tan head. Rings of lacing.
An aroma of roasted malt and toasted Hovis mixed with a bit of cocoa.
Sweetened coffee flavour with a charred bitterness to finish. Some dark fruits present .
Full bodied with a silky smooth feel.
Very nice indeed.

Cask at Zetland Arms, London, England

A: The beer is black when viewed from afar; when held up to the light traces of dark red are visible near the edges of the glass. It poured with a quarter finger high light tan head that died down, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of dark malts are present in the nose along with a bit of roasted malts.
T: The taste has lots of flavors of dark malts. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout is easy to drink but the smell and taste are weaker compared to other beers in the style.

Best Before 05/14

Dark brown, almost a deep caramel, with a razor-thin head that dissipates almost immediately. Smell is chocolate and a tinge of oat. Taste is chocolate, oat and roasted coffee. Feel is light with medium carbonation. Finish is dry with only a tinge of bitterness. Overall this is quite smooth and good. It's different from a lot of oatmeal stouts in that there is more oat taste and less of the heavy, smooth feel from the oats.
