A well balanced Double IPA with a resinous quality in a dry, palatable beer. Like chewing on a hop cone, Bull of the Woods is intensely hopped with five different American classics to give it an unrelenting bitterness up front that fades to flavors of grapefruit, pine and spice. Its dry finish helps to accentuate the hop flavors while its high IBU contribution helps to balance the alcohol.

Clear golden amber color with plenty of foam in the Affligem chalice. Tangy and acidic on the tongue. Aroma is deliriously hoppy. Floral with a fume of resins and juniper.
Hot with hop oils, somewhat helped by the alcohol, though it's not as high-powered as many DIPAs. They don't say what hops are used, but describe it as a "green forest." it's a massive yet elegant brew. The bitterness is expansive, with a claimed 92 IBUs, but it's not overpowering. Just a modest sweetness but plenty of malt to cary the weight.
Huge, fragrant, on the bitter side, but a great big IPA from one of Washington's seriously up and coming breweries. Poured from the 32 oz growler purchased today at the brewery tap.
