Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clear brown, with just a thin cap of tan head that dissipated very quickly, and left light lacing. The aroma was malty-sweet, with a hint of roast in the background. On the tongue, the roast had a more prominent place. The sweetness didn't show up. The body was on the light side of medium, and was very smooth. The finish was semi-dry. Drinkability was pretty good, I could easily have a few of these during the damp season. Overall, a pretty nice example of a style that seems to have fallen out of favor with regional breweries. Worth a shot if you see it.
