An absolutely stunning, world class barleywine that is a blend of 4 and 5 year old brews that were aged in multiple bourbon and wine barrels, and the conditioned for another year. All that ageing really shows, and there is a remarkably complex and layered series of flavors ranging from red to brown fruits, a nice underpinning of roasted chocolate, and vanilla. There is also the perfect complement of soft hops that serve to dry out the finish just enough to compel the next sip. This brew is nothing short of a masterpiece, and, as much as I've enjoyed many Kulshan brews in the past, this one was a major leap forward.
