Yes, Kulshan makes two Oktoberfest brews, this one and the darker Märzen with identical alcohol content and modest IBUs. This is a little fruitier and gummier than the Märzen, and not as malty. The Festbier is spicier and a little more bitter. They are actually quite different, tasting both at the same time, but maybe as good as the award winners from Chuckanut.
Deeply aromatic with flowery hops and a touch of vanilla. This is my favorite lighter Oktoberfest this year. A nice surprise, and so rich without being too sweet or flabby. The spicy hops remind me of a Kölsch but more substantial. From the 500 ml bottle bought at Elizabeth Station.
