Color is clear dark amber, a handsome shade with a lovely pile of thick foam in the Spiegelau IPA glass. Aroma is deeply fruity with a rich malty base. A hint of cherry along with the mango and orange marmalade. It's sweet alright, but goes so well with the fruit.
This is just a little more sweet than some might like, but it's cut with the sharp hop acids and citrus peel taste. Another good reason to get over the hazy IPA obsession. This is so good and fruity with a clean, clear taste, hoo needs haze? From the 12 oz can purchased at the tasting room in Bellingham.

Poured into a snifter. A striking amber-copper reddish color with a modest light tan head. Soapy lacing in the glass. Orange and grapefruit aroma, along with faint bready malt. Taste was straightforward with crisp bitter citrus hops and a hefty but unobtrusive malt backbone. Clean finish with a slight residual sweetness. Very nice.

Served in 16oz Willi Becher pint. Poured a clean, clear copper color, with about 1/4 inch of off white head that very good retention and light lacing.
The aroma was led by bright citrus hops, with with a slightly sweet malt backbone as a foundation.
The taste was very similar, hops upfront and on the finish, gently sweet malts providing contrast in the middle.
The body was medium-full, with a finish that was in the middle of sweet and dry.
Drinkability was very good, the beer went down smooth, and begged for a follow-up. Overall, a nice take on the traditional American Imperial IPA. Worth your time if you see it.
