Served in 12oz goblet. Poured a clean, clear light copper color with just a thin cap of white head that had no retention and left no lacing.
A nice hit of Brett hit the nose upfront, with a sweet grain base. There was a low yeast presence and just a hint of spice. Pretty similar on the tongue, with a fair bit of sweetness in the middle of the palate.
The body was on the light side of medium for the style, and, given the sweetness, had a surprisingly dry finish. Drinkability was fine, although the sweetness was wearing on me a bit. Overall, a decent brew. I tend to like Saisons drier and more spicy, but this one is worth a shot if you see it.

Sparkling clear golden amber brew with enthusiastic white foam in the Timmermans goblet. Aromatic with mild hops, which the brewer lists as Sterling, Saaz, Slovenian Celea, and Hull Melon. Some wheat malt and flaked wheat in the mix.
Slightly sweet and malty with a warm alcoholic flush. Fruity with pear followed by the dry and brambly tingle. The Brettanomyces bruxellensis yeast is really an improvement over the common American style Saisons, with that overly wheaty and overblown yeasty taste.
It has a green melon note along with a scratchy but friendly grainy finish. This is a very interesting classic Saison which again proves that Kulshan can brew anything cleanly. From the 32 oz growler filled this afternoon at the brewery taproom.
