Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Maredsous goblet. Dark aroma of pine. Hops are listed at CTZ, Amarillo, and Azacca. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station. Spritzy on the tongue, medium body.
There is maybe a hint of orange, but then the grapefruit pith takes over. More darkness, the leaf mold, and long astringent aftertaste. This gets quite bitter after a few sips. Well, OK, it's "earthy." Thank goodness it's not Earth Day every day. From the 500 ml bottle purchased in Bellingham.
