Out of a can, this pours the blackest black: immediately smell cherry. The head however has an amber tint, a amber tan mousse that is thick and frothy. Carbonation visible, definitely thick. Deep dark hazelnut chocolate and fig. Super roasty and malty. Sweet. Coffee at the second go. On the palate: Milky chocolate and coffee, creamy with brewed espresso notes. No fruit taste, all rich and roasted. Strong hops equal to strong ABV and dark malt. Vanilla notes throughout. As expected, this is viscous and mouth-coating. There is a boozey aftershock, but it is surprisingly smooth swallowing due to the high hop profile.
I am highly impressed with Echoes in Time. There is a full-bodied desert of coffee and chocolate, backed by raisiny fruits and loud malt and hop profile. Every aspect if a beer was fully fulfilled here. I would drink this many pints over.
