Pours a very clear dark brown, head settles with some very nice lacing and that pretty light brown.
Aroma is woodsy and earthy, roasty, something almost raisin like, tobacco and a touch of really dilute weak coffee.
Taste is a pleasant combination of earthiness couple with roast and light coffee.
Light body beer that has a really nice moderate bitterness to it. It pairs well with the flavors described above.

12oz can (no date) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a nearly solid black, at first glance, but when backlit with my flashlight, it was a very dark brown with a slight reddish tint. The beer was clear and had about a half-inch of tan head that quickly dissipated and left very light lacing.
There was some light roast at the front of the nose, with soft grain behind that, and just some very light, floral hops.
Similar on the tongue, with the roast being notably stronger.
The body was light and smooth, fairly typical for the style, and had a medium-dry finish.
Drinkability was good, i could drain another can.
Overall, a solid, but not outstanding example of the style. Worth grabbing if you see it.
