American Wheat Ale is made with a high percentage of malted wheat, along with Pilsner malt, and modest hopping to deliver a smooth, light, drinkable beer. American Wheat Ale is hazy golden with a thick, white head. The aroma is light and grainy like fresh-baked bread. The flavor is light and crisp with a slightly sweet/tart, peachy finish from the use of aciduated malt.

This may be one of the better American style wheat brews I've had. It's very clean flavored and clear golden color in the Pilsener glass. Plenty of foam with prickly carbonation on the tongue. It's a little on the sharp side, but quite refreshing and totally different from the rich malty Hefeweizen style.
Just a slight lemony nose, and a tangy lemon-edged flavor. Faint biterness but no real hop flavor, as expected from the listed 16 IBUs. From the 32 oz jug filled yesterday at the Kulshan brewery in Bellingham.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a very clean gold color. This beer is unfiltered and was surprisingly bright and clear. There was just a thin cap of off-white head that had low retention and lacing.
The aroma was smooth and well balanced with a nice bright hop tang. The flavors were the same, a nice taste of wheat, a bit of malt and some crisp hops that had a bit of lingering bite.
The body was smooth, even, clean, and had nice clean finish. Drinkability was very good, the beer went down smooth and easy and it would be easy enough to have a few of these. Overall, a very nice beer, a good choice for when you just want to relax and enjoy a beer. Worth checking out.
