According to the bartender, this is a version of Bastard Kat using a different yeast. The aroma retains it's crisp hoppiness and the beer was a lightly hazy, slightly orange, gold color, with about a half-inch of white head that had decent retention and light lacing.
The flavors were crisp citrus hops, with a bit of a floral note, over a gentle malt base. The body was nice and crisp, just right for a warm summer day. Drinkability was good, I had three, and was still able to function well at work afterwards. Overall, a pretty nice beer, certainly worth trying if you see it.
