Color is a lovely red-tinged dark amber brown. Plenty of foam in the half-pint nonic and pleasurably spritzy on the tongue. This comes in an UNSPICED version, which is what I am raving about.
Loads of malty and thick roasted flavors, some of which turns out to be the pumpkin baked in pizza ovens. Lush and . Overall this is warm and rich with flavors that don't advertise the pumpkin but provide a mellow roasted taste. Moderate bitterness and a hoppy intrigue round this out. Hops are stated as Apollo and Palisade.
Maybe my favorite Pumkpin Beer ever. Totally drinkable in the winter brew spirit. Listed at 8.66% ABV. On tap at the brewery tap in Bellingham.

I don't like pumpkin, so generally stay away from the pumpkin beers, but this new brewery has been doing a very good job, so I gave this one a shot. Served in straight pint glass. Poured a lightly hazy medium-dark amber color with under 1/4 inch of white head that had OK retention and light lacing. The beer maintained good carbonation throughout.
The aroma was malty and neutral, no real pumpkin or spice came through to me. On the tongue, spiciness was the dominant feature, some pumpkin showed through, but again the beer was mostly neutral, although the spice did linger at the back.
The body was nicely medium, smooth and even. Drinkability was good, even though I didn't care much for the flavors. Overall, an OK take on this seasonal style. If you like pumpkin beers, you'll like this one too.
