This Irish-style dry stout is a dark ale served exclusively on Nitrogen. Light bodied and low in alcohol, it boasts roasted malt flavors of chocolate and coffee with light breadiness and a creamy mouthfeel.

Served On-Nitro Tap
A – Pours a weird shade of light tan, almost looks gray, takes forever to cascade and settle but once it does it looks rich dark brown with a nice creamy head to it.
S – Smells of light coffee and chocolate, not much else, lightly roasty.
T – Roasted chocolate malts, lightly sweet.
M – Thin and dry, which is fine.
O – A very one dimensional and for the most part uninteresting.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a mostly solid black, just a very light bit of reddish translucence on the edges, with over an inch of light brown head that had very good retention and lacing.
The aroma was very pleasant, solid malts and a slight bit of roast. The flavors were very similar, smooth malts, a light roastiness, and just a faint tickle of hops at the back.
The body was about as expected, smooth, full, and even. Drinkability was very good, you could down several of these if you were of a mind to. Overall, a very solid take on the style, nothing ground breaking, just a very well done example. Worth trying if you see it.

On-tap at the tasting room, poured into a standard pint glass...
Poured a near black with a frothy off white head, smell is quite unique... Burnt char kind of thing, taste is a little lackluster... A little oaky and quite bitter and dry at the end. Overall just ok for me.... Even on nitro too thin and bitter at the end.
