This beer had so much potential...smells like vanilla and cocoa, with a little bit of a spicy, peppery note on the nose. Pours a deep black with a tan head that hangs around... So far so good. It is rich and creamy, oily but not too much. That's well done also. The unfortunate thing is this beer is SPICY. Those peppers really come into play and, in my opinion, dominate the other really great qualities of this beer. Take it down a few notches and you have a superb milk stout.

Dark brown color, head quickly dissipated to a small ring with decent lacing.
Smells like a rich holiday spiced molasses cookie drizzled with a hot chile liqueur.
Taste is generally overpowered by the heat of the ghost peppers. The adjunct list also includes cocoa nibs, vanilla beans and cinnamon. After I acclimated to the chile heat, some the rest of the flavors came through.
Mouthfeel is nice, owing to the use of lactose.
Overall, this is a chile lover's beer. I personally would have liked to see the ghost peppers used less heavy-handedly, and be more of a subtle warming sensation rather than the star of the show.
