Here's an experience you don't have every day. A one-man brewing operation with a tasting room. An intriguing and offbeat collection of 10 or so beers. Tasters are four for five bucks and pints are available. For take-home there are pint swing-tops for the price of a pint as well as larger growlers. Chips for sale and free popcorn cover the eats. Pleasant indoor/outdoor industrial garage design with the small brewery right there.
The current beers can be seen on the brewery website, but they range from unusual variations of styles like Brown and California Common to Belgian influenced concoctions. There seems to be an interest in fruit flavors and honey, and stronger styles. The signature brew is "Honey Badger Don’t Care," a 10 percenter of no known parentage. The friendly owner Dave is the one-man show, serving beer on a Saturday afternoon. So the service is as good as it gets and anything you want to know, he's the authority.
If you can find the big Green Flash operation on the corner of Mira Mesa Blvd and Flanders, head south on Flanders into the usual confusingly named streets of the industrial backwater. There are folding signs up to help the wayfinding.
