Abdis abbey beer is kind of sweet, with some coffee notes and roasted maltiness.
When I say 'kind of sweet' I mean sugarry and candy, not fruity.
Mouthfeel is watery.
It's easy drinkable though: meant for people who don't want too much tasting or sniffing.
In other words: not really great.
Plus the label is indeed rather pointless for serious beerfans.

The abdis line from Liefman's features a nun in habit with a lot of lipstick and mascara. Seems stupid as far as a beer label goes, but that is what they chose.
Pours a deep mahogany with a very small head.
Nose is yeasty, only a little malty, seems subdued for the style.
Taste is a bit sweeter than I expected from the nose, like an over-sugared dark candy. malt is almost absent in the taste, no taste of roasted malt though there is a hint of metal. Unusual for a brune in that the taste profile is atypical.
Unremarkable, which is my conclusion with the entire Abdis trio of beers from Liefman's.
