(Served in a snifter)
A- This beer has a hazy opaque nut brown body with a thin ring of off-white head. This beer has no sign of carbonation.
S- There is a strong smoke malt aroma with a caramel note but it is pretty clean overall.
T- This beer has a big peat smoke malt flavor with notes of caramel malt and caramel. There is a note of faint band-aid note that is from the malt. The band-aid note comes through stronger as it warms. There is a sweet and smoky finish. As it warms there is a pot caramel note and a slight nougat note. In the last few sips the alcohol taste comes through.
M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel with no real alcohol heat. The alcohol comes through just a hint in the last few sips.
D- This beer is brewed with 8 malts including scotch peat malt. I think the peat malt really dominates with no depth in flavors. The malt flavors that do come through are pretty lightly toasted malts and could use some more character.
