Clear and brown with light passing easily through the center of the glass. Minor beige head, but it does leave many spots and smaller streaks on the glass.

The smell is a bit metallic with heavily toasted brown bread. Light chocolate nibs in the background.

This is a darker tasting brown ale. The malt has some burnt flavors which hints at being a stout. There's also a large amount of hop bitterness in the swallow. The mouthfeel is thicker for a Brown Ale but there's also ample carbonation. The finish is a combination of the ashen and bitter tastes. Unusual for a Brown Ale, but certainly an interesting drink.

Hazy dark brown body with glimmers of ruby; capped with a bubbly sand-coloured head with decent retention of a minute or two.
Light malt aroma, of fresh baked brown bread.
Bready, mildly roasty, malt flavours, very clean, balanced by moderate hop bitterness that correctly imparts minimal flavour; has the feel of fresh mountain water, crisp; medium carbonation, medium-light body, with a dry finish; faintest touch of cocoa.

A simple take on the style, no fruitiness I can detect, very easy drinking and crisp, making for a good choice to change things up in the summer.
