Obtained in a bottle from Fromagerie Roy in Rawdon, QC
L: A light pale, staw colored clear pour. No head at all, very bubbly - almost appears as a carbonated soda.
S: Bretty wafts typical of a wild ale - slight notes of apple present, for sure. A little bit of sour/green apple too.
T: The taste is very subtle - really minimal residual flavors of apple present, but I think I would have preferred a bit more 'umph' here.
F: Bubbly at first, but very smooth for the ABV. Extremely refreshing. I'm enjoying cooling down while drinking, and a 500ml pour is perfect.
Overall: a pleasant wild ale, complete with the bretty effervescent feeling you'd expect from one of these 'spontaneous' ales as they are described at la souche. A refreshing drink. A bit more flavor would be great. Otherwise, worth trying on a hot day.
