On-tap. ½ pt Stange glass @ II L´Hospitalet Artisan Fair 2014. Very dark brow color. Light beige crown. Foam is close, creamy & lasting. Some solid off-white yeast drops float on top. Dats, figs & burnt caramel to the nose rounded by bitter cocoa on the back. Sweet, caramelized & creamy malty upfront. Full body. Soft carbonation. Dense & velvety mouthfeel. Sweet creaminess touched by hints of prunes & raisin goes all over leaving a smooth, unctuous & flavorful caramelized finish. Long aftertaste displays back raisin, prunes & slight whisky memories. Boasted ABV but amazingly well integrated so drinkability is such an experience. No cloying but delightful since hops gently arises in the middle just to keep huge maltiness under control. A real masterpiece !!
