TacoHands - Tired Hands feat. Cellarmaker
Culinary IPA - 7.2% abv
Canned 5/3/18 (24 days ago)

L - 3-finger dense bright white head atop a pale peach body.

S - cilantro, lime, pine. Very unusual nose.

T - sweet lime to start. Spicy middle. Getting cilantro and black pepper the most, followed by anise, salt, a little hot pepper, mild chili powder. A lot going on here! Low bitterness, medium sweetness, low booziness.

F - medium-light body with moderate carbonation.

O - a good choice for a humid afternoon. Very weird though.

Dark lemon yellow in color with a hazy, alightly milky, unfiltered appearance. Kind of light a lemon creamsicle if there were such a thing. Poured with a moderate, soapy, bright white foam with moderate retention. Sweet and citrussy aromas, lemon heads candy and orange zest. Very fresh. Medium malt aroma. Medium bodied with soft, medium carbonation. Light smoothness peaks through the carbonation followes by pleasant warmth toward the end. Medium malt flavors with cittussy hop flavors on the edges. Lemon and orange zest followed by medium peppery hop bitterness through the middle. Citrus orange and sweet malt from the middle to the end. Finishes semi-dryly with brief bitter lemon hop and orange zest notes. Appearance was unique. Medium carbonation was very pleasant. Flavors were very fresh and had a lot of character. Bitterness was subdued making this very quaffable.

Hazy lightly orange in color, beautiful head and lacing. Good balance of corn sweetness, lime tartness, and sharpness on the back of the throat from the combination of spices/cilantro/chilies. Great, easy drinking beer for Cinco de Mayo. Only Tired Hands could pull this off!

Pours a lovely light yellowish orange, very cloudy, with two-and-a-half fingers of airy near-white head. Solid lacing.

Lime, peach, very light cilantro and pepper in the nose. It smells like HopHands with a nice twist of lime and a hint of something extra.

The taste is where this shoots off into zany beer territory -- and it's exactly as advertised. Tastes like a freaking taco. Corn tortilla, coriander, cilantro, lime, and an understated, very lightly smokey pepper that almost gives the impression of Hamburger Helper-style taco meat. Pretty clean on the finish.

Soft, creamy feel with just enough carbonation.

Nothing here is too in-your-face. It's a quality NEIPA with a perfectly-executed taco addition. This is not something I'd ever want on the regular, but it's a fun summer beer.

It's only fitting to have beer #3,000 during my first visit to one of my favorite breweries in the world. As with all of their IPAs with crazy ingredients, this beer was a testament to how much restraint they show when they brew. None of these ingredients overpower, or try to make it something it's not. They just add some interesting enhancements to make it incredibly unique.

Filled up a 32-oz growler from Tired Hands on 5/6/16 at the brew cafe. Drank with some tacos on a Friday night.

The beer pours a hazy opaque bright yellow - looks like grapefruit juice. Smells of lime pulp & zest upfront with citrus hops & notes of light tropical fruit. Some of the spice peak through such as the chiles and cumin. Perhaps a dashed coriander.

Tastes dry with citrus hop sweetness and lime juice. Chiles are very evident as the beer warms. Spices are more subdued.

Very unique & refreshing beer. Alcohol well in check.

Reviewed from notes. Growler shared by someone in the crew - thanks.

A: Pours a hazy yellow under a 1/4-inch thick white head with fades quickly to the rim and leaves spotty lace.

N: Mango sherbet, spices, citrus fruit (lemon/lime, grapefruit), floral, herbal overtones.

T: Complex and nice blend of citrus, peppery spices, herbal, fruity, mild sweetish malts, grainy.

M: Moderate body and medium (growler) carbonation. Finishes with a lingering citrus and peppery spice.

O: Unique and very creative, nicely done.

On tap at TH.

Hazy yellow-orange pour, with a solid half inch of frothy white head; good retention and lacing. In the aroma, toasted corn, lime, black pepper. Lots of sweet lime in the taste, actually quite a bit more than I'd have expected, zest, underlying cilantro and pepper spice, with no real heat going on, a crackery, fresh grain finish. They must have used a good quantity of lime in this, because it actually reminded me a bit of a less sweet / more spicy version of Communication Is the Key Lime Pie--one of my favorites from the brewery. Medium body, smooth and complex mouthfeel. Probably not for everyone, but definitely an interesting brew.
