Sour Spring Ale brewed with 50% wheat. Enjoy it straight for a tart and refreshing experience, or with our house-made grapefruit/sorrel/tarragon syrup (sorrel & tarragon came from our main man Tom Culton) for a mind bending freak out experience.

Reviewed from notes. Growler shared by someone in line at the Barrelworks Bretta Rose release - thanks.
A: Pours a pale yellow with a 1/4-inch thick white head which fizzles to the rim and leaves a few spots of lace.
N: Citrus opens a lemony curtain pre-show followed by sour wheat and mild funk for the main event.
T: Some cracker grainy malts slips under the sour lemon curtain to peek at the funky wheat grains which shy away into the back.
M: Light body and light carbonation. Prickly sour, lemony finish.
O: A nice palette cleanser and enjoyed as the sun rises overhead and the beat goes on.

Thanks to my brother for sharing this growler with me-enjoyed chilled in a tumbler.
The color is golden with deep hazed look with thick white head that falls to a bead ring. The aroma has slight lemon odor with mild funkiness in the background and has a light bready aroma. The feel is slightly on the thin side with tangy yeast and slghtly funky texture with moderate carbonation and dry almost sour quality as it finishes
The taste is tangy with lemony wheat and yeast flavor with earthy and tart flavor and light chalky mineral taste with some mild grain mid palate and slight earthy toasted malt qualities that round out the yeast elements. The overall enjoyment is good with a decent flavor of sour mixed with wheat
