Cask offering at TH.

Pretty typical porter-y appearance, dark brown-black with a small brown head; moderate retention and minor lacing. The nose was mainly roasty dark malts, with notes of cocoa and coffee. In the taste, dark malts, good roast, gritty raw cacao, distant vanilla sweetness, and something very solvent-like that was present in the base beer as well. I didn't really get much spice from the peppers, but they did lend a slightly vegetal sensation that didn't really add or detract from the beer on the whole. Medium body, decent overall, but I wasn't a big fan of that solvent flavor.
