Double IPA brewed with oats. Hopped very aggressively with Motueka and Simcoe. Brewed with our great pal Kerry Watson of In My ExBEERience fame.

Traded for this a while ago, as the date on the bottom of the can read 3/9/17 with "DEEP CUT" written below it. This wasn't like the famous Milkshake beers from Tired Hands but it was nearly just as good as those but it was just as creamy, malty, and smooth as those were as there was plenty of body to this and an underlying sweetness that held my attention throughout my drinking session!
Not a bad pour to this as the beer poured a murky goldenrod with a sufficient head to top it off. Lots of rocky lacing was left behind as I worked my way through this as the soapy bubbles left behind almost looked like coral. Tons of tropical fruit, nectar sweetness, and sweet citrus on the muted, but pleasing, nose as there was an underlying creaminess tying everything in together. Dank hops, lychee, and a wet forest and pine could be felt in the mouthfeel and gave this beer it's dank, but ultimately pleasing, taste as the oats made the feel full and chewy when all was said and done. Dank cantaloupe emerged as this warmed up as I finished this off as it complemented the range of flavors that was present in this from the get-go...
Not a lot of booze here as this could have easily been categorized as a Pale Ale rather than an IPA. A slight tangerine sweetness held this together as the more turbid and stinky notes could have easily taken this apart. Not one of Tired Hands best but this was solid and had enough going for it, including it's ability to stay together two years after it's canning. Fun stuff that was heavy but not massive as it's balance ended up saving the day in the end...

From a 16oz can dated 3/9/17. Pours a straw yellow with a nice head that leaves lots of lacing behind. Lots of tropical fruit on the nose (pear & mango, perhaps?). Similar palate with nice bitterness buttressed by the heat from the higher abv. Delicious.
