Imperial brown ale conditioned atop fig puree in very very nice Bourbon barrels.

Aldine is my favorite restaurant in Philly and I was happy to see them collaborate with Tired Hands on a beer dinner and two exclusive beers.

Ald Bruin looks quiet and still like a Rachmaninov piece before the storm. Mahogany color, no carbonation or head.

The smell is very muted, some raisin, dark-fruit puree, malt, sugar and port wine.

Taste is similar, with a more accentuated raisin-date puree flavor. This blurs the line between a spiked-juice and a beer. Very puree-y like. Finishes flat and uneventful, though.

The mouthfeel is the weakest link here, super flat and low in flavor.

Overall, I'm disappointed. This could be awesome and it is only OK.
