Poured from a growler 48 hours after tapping approximately, into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
More turbid looking brew, a little better in color murky with a bit of bright lemon and banana yellow at least, with a little bit of glow. Creamy icing white head, about two fingers in creation, settle with a good ringed thick collar, like whip cream on top. Not the most appealing looking brew.
Aroma is fairly light and small. Hints of muted pineapple, a bit of white grape. Not much character of hop bitterness and fairly closed on the nose. Hints a little bit of mushy fruit, but also pretty hard to discern and pinpoint.
Palate improves rather solidly. Light bodied with a bit of crisp hinting character and pop on the finish, but a good mid palate of pineapple and tropical juiced notes. Good body, full malt sweetness with a decent supportive backbone on the palate, and manages to balance with some of the hop bitterness that follows a bit. Slight pine earth on the finish, almost herbal aftertaste.
Looses quite a bit of points on appearance and aroma, but makes up for it in the taste. Actually comes off like a much bigger beer than it is which is a nice feat in itself.
