IPA brewed with heaps of house-roasted locally grown Sucrine du Berry squash and toasted buckwheat. Spiced with fresh ginger, cinnamon, and Madagascar vanilla beans. Hopped intensely with Simcoe and Citra. Our big time riff on those precious pumpkin beers man!

Nearly clear, sparkly light yellow-gold with a white, thin collar.
Smell is very weird at first, and frankly throughout. Is that rice pudding? Regardless, I'm definitely getting the cinnamon. Detecting maybe beet, carrot cake, bubblegum, lavender, and vanilla cream.
Taste is earthy roots, beet, carrot, cinnamon, with a little brightening lemon, vanilla, and something else. My old lady immediately said it tastes like soap at first sip, then transitioned to cinnamon raisin oatmeal cookie later on. There is an odd bitterness in the background.
Feel is fizzy, tangy, medium body, and dry. I'm not sure the wait for the seasonal ingredients is worth it, this is just too odd for anyone to drink in quantity over time. I think after most of their regulars have had this, no one will ever buy this again.

Can dated 10/26/16.
Pours foggy orange-tinted gold with a thin cream head that remains as wisps on top and leaves faint spots of lace. The smell is dominated by tropical fruit with orange zest and subtle cinnamon. The taste follows with pineapple, mango, orange and pleasant cinnamon and vanilla accents. Medium texture with medium carbonation. A unique and interesting effort.

In a lineup of otherwise incredible offerings from Tired Hands, this one was something of a disappointment. As always, Tired Hands never fails to impress with their willingness to experiment heavily with their brews. This was the first failed experiment I've tasted from them however. A seemingly solid base IPA (a reasonable citrus hop profile with good body - though not a smoothie beer like many of their recent offerings) was muddled by the addition of ginger, chamomile, and cinnamon. These adjuncts added a spice to the beer that did not add to the beer (as with many Weyerbacher brews, or, for example, Boulevard's Funky Pumpkin), but rather confused the issue. This beer was ordered as a 4oz taster, passed around a table of 4, and ultimately left half-unfinished. Disappointing.

Poured from a tap at the Fermentaria.
L: A hazy golden color with a perfect one finger white head. Nice glass lacing.
S: Gingerbread, cinammon, even a bit of coconut. I get some citrus hops with lemon and grapefruit.
T: The gingerbread cookie flavor jumps out. Loads of ginger and cinnamon. I also got some cocounut and pina coloda flavors. Citrus hops keep the beer from getting overly sweet with lemon and grapefruit. The sweetness is caramel and brown sugar like with a citrus hop finish that still stays sweet but not cloying. Very smooth finish. For the record, I got no squash, but does squash really have any flavor?
F: Smooth, sweeter, nice carbonation, no alochol.
O: This beer was ok for me, but not great. It was too much gingerbread and not enough IPA. Still as always I love trying their different beers and even though I was not a huge fan, I was glad I had it.
