Appearance - Despite the style and types of malt brewed in this beer, the color is more of a dark mahogany rather than black. The head is a light khaki and is about a finger in height. There's a decent amount of carbonation that when coupled with the color, sort of looks like a soda.
Aroma - The aroma is pure deliciousness. There is a definite gourmand quality going on here with rich vanilla, sweet chocolate, and just the right amount of coffee kick that pushes it into dessert territory. No one aspect dominates, but the blend is appetizing and tantalizing.
Taste - Yeah, this beer is absolutely dessert in a glass. Unlike in the nose where each component was delicately balanced, the taste is skewed heavily towards the vanilla bean and coffee. There are two distinct chocolate flavors coming through - one part bittersweet and one part milk. The bittersweet part couples nicely with the coffee, while the milk part blends with the vanilla to impart a pseudo-creme brulee flavor. Every part is sweet and rich, so drink this one slowly and carefully.
Mouthfeel - The mouthfeel is medium-bodied but not as "stick stick sticky" as I expected. The flavors all do their part to weigh on the palate, but I can't really say the beer itself is heavy. I actually would've liked to see this be a little more thick and unctuous to drive home the flavors all that much more.
Closing Arguments - This is my first Tired Hands beer that I had the chance to actually sit down and appreciate rather than a small sample at a tasting. This doesn't disappoint and I'm loving the flavors combinations going on within it.

Beer #8 (last one) of the 4th All Hallow's Eve dinner. Paired with a chocolate digestif. Pairing rating: 8/10.
I really need to go back and revisit this one, since it came at the end of the dinner--8 beers in, with many over 8%ABV--and I was heading towards sensory overload at that point. I do remember this being very good though, and one of the better stouts I've had from TH. Dark brown-black pour, thick ringlet of tan head. Good nose, with all ingredients coming through: vanilla, chocolate, coffee. Rich chocolate/malt taste, sweet, vanilla bean, smooth coffee, very little booze, but again I could have been a little numb to it at that point. Paired well with a little bite of chocolate and creme...no-brainer for an already chocolaty beer. Medium-full body, good drinkability, good ending beer.

Very dark brown pour, bubbly pale tan head. Aroma is strong with vanilla and dashes of milk chocolate. Coffee shows up big in the flavor, with tons of vanilla as well. Flavor is roasty and sweet, but not sugary sweet. Feel is medium-full bodied, with a medium-low carbonation level. This is a really solid beer with tons of flavor.
