Brewed with rye and a touch of caramel malt. Hopped intensely and singularly with Centennial. Super bright and citrusy.

L: pours a clear golden with about 1 finger of white head leaving decent lacing behind
S: Carmel malt followed by floral notes and a touch of citrus
T: dry, hoppy, floral notes, and a hint of citrus. Nice dry, bitter finish rounded out with a bit of pine. Rye comes through
F: really like the feel of this beer. It’s thin but carbonation is dialed in.
O: very nice WCIPA. Easy drinking, and well worth the 2 four packs I purchased

Finally got around to this can as it's been in the middle of my massive basement stash for a while. Traded for this ages ago as the date on the bottom read 12/29/16 with "OFFICIAL" written underneath that. Not a bad beer, and yes, this held up well over the last 2+ years but like most of the Tired Hands beers that I've been able to get my hands on as of late, this one could was a bit overrated. If you're into American IPA's, there's enough to like here although it was not as bright as I would have liked!
The pour to this was decent as the liquid was a turbid apricot with some light seeping in around the edges. Plenty of head topped this off that made this look like a root beer float, of sorts. Surprisingly, the lacing left behind was this beer's best attribute as it easily covered up a majority of the inside of my pint glass - from the thick collar on down. A decent amount of rye, orange, and hops in the nose with just a bit of yeast thrown in the mix as well. The caramel came in once I gave this a sip but this wasn't as smooth or sweet as I would have liked as it felt quite dank and reminiscent of weed. Plenty of slickness on the palate saved the day but the carbonation was too light to keep this from feeling weighed down as I had to pace myself through this from start to finish...
Hard to believe that this was only 6.00% ABV as it felt and tasted much stronger than that. Fans of their milkshake beers might be disappointed with this as it came across more like a typical IPA without the heavy malt or sweetness that one would expect from these guys. Just an average IPA that was on par with the ordinary label...

Really hazy dark orange color with off-white head. Aroma has a nice caramel malt base, slightly buttery with a good amount of floral hops. Taste starts quite juicy and sweet but you get a light spiciness from the rye. Finish has a medium bitterness with herbal/grassy hops. Medium to full bodied, really soft on the palate. Overall it's a really nice, juicy IPA.

First had 1/7/17 at home from Eric L. The centennial hop is on full display, but the rye and caramel malts add a unique twist of flavor. Great body and mouth feel as with most of Tired Hands beers.

West coast perfection. Except in Ardmore, well done.

Meh for tired hands. The first one I've had from them that hasn't blown me away.
Revisit. After 2 weeks in the can the rye and centennial mellow a bit and the beer improves greatly. This seems to occur often for me with the TH beers.
