Black with thin but lasting mocha colored head. Strong floral, citrusy and piney hops coupled with plum and caramel malts in the nose. Smells great. Slightly creamy mouthfeel, but pretty thin bodied overall. Tastes mildly nutty with a touch of hop bitterness. The complex malt profile in the aroma doesn't really carry over. It's okay. Missing the roasted malts I like in a black IPA.

Pours a very muddy dark brown and settles into the glass with a dark brown body and a big, fluffy, foamy tan head. Aroma is mainly earthy, dank, piney hops and roasty, chocolates malt. Flavor brings through some tropical fruit flesh, more big pine, earthy roastiness and even a dash of nutty coffee grounds. Feel is medium bodied with a definite creaminess to it, medium carbonation. A solid black IPA, a style Tired Hands does pretty well with.
