Smoked Peach Barleywine. Brewed with a dash of light caramel malt then conditioned for an extended amount of time on house-smoked peaches from our friend Ben @3springsfruit. Intense smoke upfront with a juicy overripe stone fruit acidity. Fall is finally upon us!

thanks to my brother for sharing this -enjoyed from the flip top growler in a snifter.
The color is medium amber with translucent clarity with thin white head with average sized bead. The smell is smokey with a fruity aroma that augments the mild malt scent. The feel is way more tangy than I expected even for a barleywine with fruit -it practically feels like an American Wild in the acidity with a subtle smoke texture and good amount of carbonation.
The taste is fruity right off the back, more tart than sweet with lasting acidity and slight lactic element with lemony/peachy mix and a smoke flavor that comes in middle to finish with a nice complimentary taste that doesn't overpower the fruit. This is a very interesting beer ...I never would have guessed it is an 8% beer except that I knew it was listed as a barleywine - The fruit really makes it drinkable with a tart refreshing quality.
