Guava/Salt Single Hop IPA. The beer world is big. The beer world is also way bigger than just beer. I believe that you taste with your eyes before you taste with your tongue. Being that this beer is in a can, we wanted you to taste "strange and cool" with your eyes before you taste "strange and cool" with your tongue. Creative Director was brewed exclusively with Citra in homage to Mikkeller's pioneering Single Hop series that set the beer world on fire many moons ago. Conditioned atop gobs of guava purée in homage to our perpetual marrying of hops and various fruits. Then we added salt just because we were feeling like a bunch of Creative Directors.

Hazy bright yellow color with off-white head. Aroma is quite interesting, fruity but also salty, like a dry hopped sour but without the tartness. Taste starts somehow sweet and salty, really interesting. Medium bitterness on the finish. Medium to light bodied, quite dry, not too intense carbonated. Overall it's a really interesting beer, a nice combination of IPA and gose.

I think this beer is better than the ratings suggest. It is not a hop bomb, which may have disappointed some. Rather, it is a very easy drinking fruited IPA that is complemented by the Citra hops, rather than overpowered by it.

The beer comes in a medium gold color, medium haze.
The aroma offers some briney salinity, guava, strawberry, melon, crackery malts.
The flavor follows with that base line salinity on the palate supported by a crisp hoppy brew. Almost tastes as a hoppy wheat. Crackery malt drives with a touch of guava, honey dew for days, with barely any bitterness, and a light salinity on the finish.
