Pours a hazy straw color with a fluffy white head that leaves heavy lacing and a white cap remains for quite a while. Definitely wheat and rye bill taste profile. Fruit character of white grape, lemon, light citrus along with some spicy and herbal notes. Not picking up much in the way of maple though, either in the aroma or taste, unfortunate as I am a sucker for maple. It's there but not a big player. As I neared the bottom of the glass it may have ticked up a notch...finish is hop bitterness as expected. 4.15

FIRST EVER Tired Hands thanks to KHALIL THE MAGNIFICENT. Can date is 1/10/17, which is not optimal, but let's not be too fussy. Poured into Teku glass.
L: 1F+ head with fair amounts of white lacing and a thin cap and ring. Beer is a hazy light orange/copper.
S: Soft fruit from the Nelson and Jarrylo hops, mostly pear and banana. The malt is more of the star here, can pick up the rye pretty easily. Maple is just a whiff, maybe that comes out with more warming?
T: Soft pear and banana plus an almost chardonnay quality. Rye and wheat malt come in hard midway and the maple syrup does indeed come in at this point. Finish goes back to the hops and is a tiny bit bitter. Lots going on here.
F: Light to medium body, light carbonation (maybe could use some more?). Complex construction and good balance. Punches a bit above ABV weight because of lack of drying on palate.
O: Innovative and solid. Great first experience with the brewery.

Look: Pours a super hazy straw/gold color, nearly completely opaque. This is my first experience with an east coast IPA, and wow it sure fits the bill.
Smell: Nelson hops shine- grape, winey elements. Giving the beer a swirl, I get some sweetness either from the malt or possibly the maple syrup.
Taste: Juicy juicy Nelson flavors hit you up front. Big grape, slightly earthy dank qualities, and a slight maple sweetness on the tip of the tongue. Very good.
Feel: Medium full body, little bitterness, and a pretty clean finish for a super hopped IPA.
Overall: This is a pretty wild experience, and I can say that it is a positive. I love Nelson, maple syrup, and have been intrigued with the east coast craze, so this was a very happy moment. Worth finding.

From a 16oz can dated 1/11/17. Pours a cloudy golden amber/yellow with a lingering head. Pine and citrus on the nose and palate with a lingering crispness on the hoppy, bitter finish. I did not detect much of the maple sugar flavor at all; this is not a sweet beer. But it is another delicious IPA by the TH team.

16 oz can poured into a Tired Hands pint glass. Canned on 1/11/2017. Description on the can reads "This India Pale Ale brewed with gobs of Pennsylvania maple syrup and white wheat. Hopped intensely with Jarrylo and Nelson Sauvin. Make noise even when you drone on and on and on...."
L - Bright amber color, super cloudy as always, dense bubbly foam dome. Very little lacing
S - New Zealand hops are huge in this. Tropical fruit/pine mixed in with the sweetness of maple syrup. Kind of like thick woods.
T - Pine hops, citrus, with some woodsy maple syrup gliding through. Taste is not quite as big as you'd think, but the beer is intensely hopped no doubt about it.
F - wheat really smooths and softens the beer, hops definitely linger. Super drinkable as always
O - I like this beer a lot. This is what an Pennsylvania IPA should be, made with rye and locally sourced maple syrup. Tastes like Penn's Woods! Cheers!
